During an "In the Circle" Podcast, it was mentioned that VT could potentially serve as a host site for Duke with the Hokes playing somewhere else. That conceivably would allow Duke to be a #1 seed without the disadvantage of playing a #2 seed on their home field with the home crowd advantage.

By the end of the Podcast, even the hosts conceded it was not a great idea, but the folks at College Sports Madness must have taken the idea and ran with it.

One of the big problems with that suggestion is that some of the personnel that would have to be responsible for the regional hosting duties would be traveling with the VT team to their location.

I just don't think it's a practical option, but we are talking about the NCAA.
